As America celebrates 250 years of independence, we’re taking time throughout 2026 to reflect on the values that have shaped our nation. At 1-Tom-Plumber Louisville, we’re proud to launch our America 250 campaign by highlighting the first and perhaps most important foundation of our country—Freedom. Freedom and Plumbing.
Freedom is more than a word in our history books. It is the principle that inspired ordinary people to risk everything in pursuit of a better future. Our nation’s founders believed that every citizen should have the opportunity to build a life free from tyranny and oppression. That vision wasn’t easy to achieve. It required sacrifice, perseverance, compromise, and an unwavering belief that liberty was worth fighting for.
Two hundred and fifty years later, Americans still value the freedom to build our families, own our homes, start businesses, and create the lives we choose.
Here in Louisville, Kentucky, our city has its own important connection to America’s founding.
During the final years of the American Revolutionary War, the Falls of the Ohio became a strategic military location for General George Rogers Clark and his western campaigns. In 1778, settlers established Corn Island, later constructing Fort-on-Shore and Fort Nelson to protect the growing settlement. From this location, Clark launched expeditions against British forces in the Northwest Territory, helping secure land that would become part of the young United States.
When the town was officially established in 1780, it was named Louisville in honor of King Louis XVI of France, whose nation provided critical support to the American cause during the Revolution.
Our community has been part of America’s story since the very beginning—a city built on courage, determination, and the pursuit of freedom.
While plumbing emergencies may not compare to the challenges faced by our nation’s founders, every homeowner understands the feeling of wanting security and peace of mind.
A sewer backup, clogged drain, or hidden plumbing problem can interrupt daily life in an instant. At 1-Tom-Plumber Louisville, we believe your home should be a place where you’re free to enjoy your family—not worry about what’s happening beneath your floors or inside your sewer lines.
Whether we’re responding to an emergency in The Highlands, St. Matthews, Old Louisville, Jeffersontown, Prospect, Fern Creek, Middletown, Anchorage, Clarksville, Jeffersonville, or anywhere throughout the greater Louisville area, our mission remains the same: provide honest service, expert workmanship, and fast response when our neighbors need us most.
To celebrate the foundation of Freedom, we’re helping homeowners gain peace of mind with one of the most valuable diagnostic services we offer.
After clearing your main sewer line, we’ll perform a professional camera inspection at no additional cost.
This allows us to identify hidden problems before they become costly emergencies, including:
Because real freedom and plumbing comes from knowing what’s happening inside your plumbing system—not wondering when the next emergency will strike.

Throughout our America 250 campaign, we’ll honor the values that have defined our country for the past 250 years while continuing to serve the homeowners, businesses, restaurants, and apartment communities that make Louisville and Southern Indiana such a great place to live.
This July, we celebrate Freedom. and Plumbing.
Freedom that built a nation.
Freedom that shaped Louisville.
And the freedom that comes from knowing your plumbing is in the hands of professionals who are here 24 hours a day when you need us most.
From all of us at 1-Tom-Plumber Louisville, thank you for allowing us to serve our community. Here’s to 250 years of American freedom—and to protecting the homes and businesses that keep Louisville strong.
